Requirements vary by county and by what the land will be used for afterward. Municipal projects and work near regulated drains or wetlands can have additional requirements. We will flag anything that looks like it needs a permit before we start and can point you to the right local office.

Forestry mulching grinds brush and unwanted trees into mulch in place, leaving desirable trees standing and the ground covered and protected from erosion. Land clearing is a more complete process that can include tree removal, stump grinding, and grading to leave the site bare and ready for construction, planting, or other use.

Yes. Forestry mulching leaves mulch on-site by design, and for land clearing jobs we discuss upfront whether debris will be mulched, burned where permitted, or hauled off, so there is no surprise about what the property looks like when we are finished.
